With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

30 Day Returns

We offer an extended 30 day return or exchange policy. Simply complete a returns form, send your items back to us in re-saleable condition and a full refund or exchange will be made. For returns received after the 30 day period a gift voucher for full purchase price will be offered if goods are in a re-saleable condition.


Returns can only be accepted with a completed returns form, please download the "Download Returns PDF" then print and complete.

  • We operate an extended returns policy of up to 30 days from purchase and 60 days for refund by gift voucher
  • During busy periods please allow 5-7 days for returns to be processed.
  • We cannot accept returns for items that have been used, worn, washed, soiled or damaged by the customer.
  • Returned Items must include original tags attached and any packaging.
  • Please include the completed returns form and proof of purchase when returning any goods. We can only accept returns with proof of purchase and a completed returns form.

The Legal Information:

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2014, the customer has the right to a cooling off period of fourteen (14) business days, starting at the time goods are received, to cancel the contract and return said goods at their own expense, without having to give a reason. All returns can be indicated beforehand with THE MERCHANT customer service department. All goods must be returned to THE MERCHANT ADDRESS.

The cooling off period and right to cancel do not apply to contracts, orders for any goods made to your specification, any downloaded goods or unsealed goods including but not limited to (DVD, CD, Tapes, Software, Video and audio).

Only complete and unused goods in perfect condition for resale will be accepted. No refunds or exchanges will be made for incomplete, damaged, used or unsealed goods, including damage to original packaging or missing tags. The customer can exercise this right to withdrawal without penalty, excepting the return fee for the goods. If the customer exercises the right to withdrawal, they have the option of requesting a full refund or exchange of goods. If an exchange is requested, all shipping expenses shall be the responsibility of the customer.

If the right to withdrawal is exercised, THE MERCHANT will make every effort to refund the customer within 30 days.

In addition to our Returns Policy, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods if you are an online, mail or telephone order customer. You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify the retailer of your cancellation to return the goods.

Please note we cannot accept returns for bespoke or made to order items such as custom bike builds and complete wheels. All wheels and wheel sets listed on our website are custom built to order.

International Delivery Customs Charges And International Returns

Dependant on the country there may be additional local taxes, VAT, Duty and customs charges. Our Courier will normally pay all these charges on behalf of the customer. The courier will then collect these fees from the customer plus an admin fee. THE MERCHANT is not responsible for any customs related charges unless a specific "Delivered Duty Paid" courier option has been pre-arranged.

In the event that a delivery is refused by a customer due to dispute or non payment payment of their country customs/taxes and the purchased items are returned to THE MERCHANT then the total of these charges plus any surcharges or return courier fees, plus any additional return taxes and customs charges plus the original shipping fee plus a re-stock fee of £30.00 will be deducted from any customer refund.

The firebird 29 rideâslx/xt â air is built for enduro racing, combining pivot cyclesâ extremely light hollow core carbon frame with a wonderfully plush Fox factory dw-linkâ suspension inspired by pivotâs premiere downhill bike, the phoenix. It offers 165mm of rear travel and an impressive 170mm of front travel.

The dh-inspired long dw-linkâ maximises the rearward wheel path, with 165mm of travel to give impressive levels of handling on the descents, yet still enables it to climb efficiently if uplifts arenât an option.

The progressive geometry of this bike, with its relaxed head angle, long reach and equally long wheelbase, promotes stability with sharp responsiveness and inspires confidence at high speeds. Since the build is tailored to match different sizes of rider, for example by adjusting the length of the chainstays, the same performance will be delivered, irrespective of your height.Â

equipped with a Shimano SLX m7100 shifter, a matching cassette and a Shimano XT m8100 rear derailleur, the drivetrain is designed for the perfect balance of efficiency and durability. Braking is taken care of by Shimano and its SLX m7120 4-piston brakes that offer ample stopping power.

The firebird is made to work with 29â wheels, but the flip chip will allow you to effortlessly adjust the frame geometry for different conditions or to accommodate 27.5â wheels or a mixed setup. The default is a low bottom bracket setting, which will optimise your control on fast, steep terrain and make room for wider tyres.

Flipping the chip raises the bottom bracket to accommodate a mixed wheelset, while inserting the 17mm extended headset cup achieves a perfect fit for 27.5â wheels. The head angle is steepened too, and together these adjustments encourage better cornering at speed and more efficient climbing.

This model uses tubeless capable, alloy DT swiss m1900 wheels with the DT swiss 370 hub. These are solid and durable, offering a balanced ride on any terrain, and are wide enough to offer efficient grip on any surface.

Benefiting from super boost plus 157 spacing, originally pioneered by pivot, enables the firebird to use short chainstays, which are great for tight cornering, tyre clearance and a stiff rear swingarm. The boost standard furthermore moves the drivetrain out 6mm, promoting better tyre clearance and mud shedding capabilities.

All these elements add up to a bike that handles superbly and manages to be both light and durable. Itâs therefore possible to throw it around the singletrack with precision and confidence that the relaxed head angle, long reach and wheelbase will keep the bike stable at speed.
